The New York City Junior Volleyball Association (NJCJVA) is a section not-for-profit organization founded in 1993 under the direction of Doug Levine with the goal of introducing NYC girls to various levels of the game of volleyball. Our teams compete at local, regional, and national levels, and over the years we have sent numerous athletes on to play volleyball in college. NYC Juniors athletes range from ages 9 to 18, live in all five boroughs of New York City, and stem from both public and private schools.
Goals & Philosophy
NYCJVA believes in working with girls of all backgrounds to develop volleyball skills and promote teamwork, responsibility, and self-discipline. We strive to provide quality training in the physical, cognitive and social domains pertaining to volleyball, in hopes that our athletes will apply what they’ve learned to their everyday lives.
