In 2000, John Basso, John Benson and Andy Arenson co-founded the Arlington-Lagrange Lacrosse Club, formerly known as Lagrange Lacrosse Youth Program. With the inception of the youth program Coach Arenson fully developed his “Acorns to Oaks” philosophy.
To date, over one thousand boys and girls have come through the Arlington-Lagrange Lacrosse Club and Arlington High School Programs, many of whom went on to compete and succeed at the collegiate level.
The mission of ALLC continues not only to teach lacrosse, but also convey the Arlington Lacrosse Principles, a strong work ethic, honesty, resect and exhibiting good sportsmanship at all times.
The clubs focus remains on creating a positive experience for your children as they learn the game of lacrosse. As always, we thank you, the parents, for being a part of the club and introducing your children to the great sport of Lacrosse.
We now have over 200 boys and girls playing in our “Acorns to Oaks” Fiddle Kindergarten Program as well as Boys and Girls Divisions in Grades 1st through 8th. The ALLC proudly calls Stringham Park its home field for the Boys program and Lagrange Middle School (ACSD) for the Girls program.
ALLC continues to work hard at providing affordable, local lacrosse training for players at all levels — beginner to advanced. Games are scheduled in cooperation with the Hudson Valley Chapter of US Lacrosse. Games are played against other Hudson Valley Chapter Town Sponsored Teams. The season typically starts in April with the Blessing of the Sticks and runs until June, concluding with the end-of-season Picnic and Trophy Ceremony at Freedom Park.
