JCC SHOOTING STARS (BASKETBALL)
Special needs basketball clinic. Learn to dribble and shoot while working one on one with a typical peer buddy.
SWIM CLASS & SWIM TEAM
Ages: 6–18 months
Designed to make the water safe and comfortable place for your child. Emphasis is placed on body position and blowing bubbles. There is lots of fun and splashing.
Ages: 18–36 months
You will learn proper body position and posture for swimming and basic swimming strokes and kicks.
Ages: 3–5 years
Introduces your child to the fundamentals of swimming and focuses on floating, gliding and breath control. Our goal is to help them gain independence and separation from their parents so they are ready to progress to an independent swim group.
Beginner Swim (IV)
Ages: 5-10 years
This is our first class without parents in the water, and aimed to build confidence and make the pool a fun environment. We will go over skills such as basic kicks, arm pull, breath control, floats and water safety skills.
Sundays, 11:30-12:00am & 12:00-12:30am
Advanced Beginners (V)
ages: 5-10 years
This class is designed for children who are already comfortable in the water, who already have some swimming ability and can swim several feet unassisted. Students will learn skills such as front crawl, back crawl and elementary backstroke.
Intermediate Swim (VI)
Ages: 6-11 years
This class is designed for children who can swim 25 yards (1 pool length) unassisted. A basic knowledge of front crawl and back crawl is needed. They will learn breathing to the side, breast stroke and butterfly, as well as building endurance and lap swimming etiquette.
Advance Swim (VII)
Ages: 7-12 years
This class is for children who can swim 50 yards (2 laps) non-stop. It is for the more skilled swimmer. The strokes that will be covered are front crawl, back crawl, butterfly, breaststroke and side stroke. This class is geared at building endurance and fine-tuning all strokes.
ADULT SWIM CLASSES
Adult Swim 1
This class is designed for adults who are beginner swimmers. It will be a group setting which will offer support and encouragement and make the experience fun. We will teach the basics strokes with an emphasis at getting the class members comfortable in the water.
Adult Swim 2
This is for adults who are already comfortable in the water and have some swimming knowledge. Swimmer should be able to swim 25 yards (1 lap) unassisted. We will teach proper stroke techniques, breathing and lap swimming etiquette.
