Gift ideas for kids that love football!

It’s been a tough season for football on Long Island…but we’re a loyal bunch.

Some of our favorite gift ideas are timeless choices for kids that love to play or have a favorite team.

Long Island is home to Jay Fiedler, former the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins. Since retiring from the NFL, he’s launched Prime Time football camps where he works with kids to help them develop stronger football skills. The great thing about his program is that players get feedback from Fiedler himself. He’s not just passing kids on to his staff…  In just a few years, Fielder’s camp has worked with Thorp Award winners, dozens of 1st-team All-Long Island Quarterbacks and All-State, All-County and All-Conference players. Who else can say that?  Click here to register, non toy gift

Cozy blankets make great gifts!

One of our kid’s all-time-favorite gifts was a NY Giants blanket that one of her friends gave her a few years back. The great thing about these sports blankets is that they’re totally cuddly and soft, but in a sporty big-kid way.

New York Giants fleece blanket $19.88 We love this one because it includes grey, super on trend. Now if only the Giants can get it together…

New York Jets fleece blanket $14.97  Can’t forget our favorite green team, the NY Jets.

Yeah, you saw this recommendation on our other non toy gift ideas post, Wanna know why we include water bottles here? Cuz we can’t stand spending a lot on water bottles. It drives us crazy! But sometimes The Kid wants an expensive water bottle. For us, there are only three times of year when it’s acceptable kinda acceptable to buy an overpriced water bottle.  Back to school, birthdays and Christmas (or Chanukah).  But, honestly we won’t do it for Back to School.

Funtainers – this is the best water bottle for young kids. Easy to hold, flip top to keep junk out and fun patterns. Perfection?

Hydroflask Wide mouth 32 ounce bottle $39.95 Maybe it’s their cute little logo, but this is The Kid’s top pick!

YETI Bottle Rambler 26Oz Black  $39.99 Love the black after years of white. But there’s lots of other choices so pick what speaks to you (or them).

Sadly, we think Eli’s going to move on sometime soon. But the two-time Super Bowl winner is the only QB that has gone face-to-face with Tom Brady in the Big Game and won!  $550 seems awfully high to us so we checked with the one of memorabilia companies that we trust and found it for just $250 from the folks over at Steiner Sports.  With sports memorabilia it’s always a good idea to buy low….
