The camp program is designed to teach young women all facets of the game. Campers are grouped according to age and ability, which allows the staff to focus on developing the players’ individual game. The World-renowned staff will focus on improving the campers’ skills and advancing their understanding of game concepts and team play. The experience will be both challenging and fully rewarding for campers, having walked away with a broader understanding of the game and gaining new and improved skills en route to becoming the best lacrosse player they can be!!!StaffCamp staff includes a variety of US National Team players, previous Black Diamond Lacrosse camp staff, college coaches and many former and current Collegiate All Americans and Collegiate standouts.DirectorDanielle Gallagher who is the new Professional Lacrosse Women’s League, LI SOUND team’s General Manager, is one of the top women’s lacrosse players in the world. She is a graduate of the College of William and Mary, where she was a 2 time All American. Gallagher was the assistant lacrosse coach at both the University of Notre Dame and Colorado College. While at Notre Dame, she helped guide ND to their first-time ever NCAA appearance. Within a year of her arrival, the program became a top twenty program and earned a second round berth in the NCAA Championships.She was named to the U.S. National team in 1987. Since 1987 she has played on 4 U.S. World Cup teams in 1993, 1997, 2001 and 2005. She participated in Scotland, Japan, England, and Annapolis, Maryland. World Champions in 3 out of the past 4 World Cups, Danielle ranks second all-time on the U.S. scoring list with 64 career points (32 goals, 32 assists).She was bestowed one of the highest honors in Lacrosse when she was inducted into the US Lacrosse Hall of Fame. At the time she was one of the youngest players ever inducted into the Lacrosse Hall of Fame. She now is dedicated to spreading the word of lacrosse and teaching young girls how to play the game of lacrosse.Danielle is the current Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach at Manhasset HS. Manhasset HS is consistently one of the top HS programs in the country. Danielle was the GM for the LI Sound Women’s Professional Women’s’ lacrosse team during their inaugural year. Danielle is the Director of LI Liberty Lacrosse Black Diamond Lacrosse as well as a Board Member for the Diane Whipple Foundation.
